AS of th last week in Nov i have been seeing fhem hauling trees for somewhere south of Butte la Rose Evertime i see one of these trucks i get sic. In alaska there wildlife is a state resource I was wondering why we cant make the cypress tree a state resource there forth protecting it. I have been fighting a battlee in butte la rose over the whole land deal and the hunting club seems they are protected by some our state offisials from what i saw with my own eyes it is time for this corruption to stop

HE says that now but when he sold us the land at resort prices he didnt say that lately i have been threaten by the hunting club out hear over a trail they rain rt on our property line now anyone has acess to our land i had to call the Sheriff separtment and wildlife and fisheries because there was someone behind the house on the trail after 10 pm but there seems to be no law on Disturbing the peace out here so come opening morning of gun for deer season i will be up early unloading my shot gun

Is there an organization that links rivers/basins across the nation? How can we get more news on this? I’d like to use some of my resources here in the Bay Area to assist ya’ll. Maybe we could brainstorm. I’ll do some research.

Dont forget about the Egale Habata they have destroyed another protectect species comes under attack again. when they where cutting the Cypress i know the haul a couple of million dollars of cypress out of here. I would see it every day for months.Who runs they basin and Butte LA rose seems to be the Corps who want to protect the land owners intrest and Saint Martin Land company

We think it can be stopped with legal action by Atchafalaya Basinkeeper, with effective assistance from the Tulane Environmental Law Clinic. It might help to write to the Corps of Engineers, encouraging them to deny St. Martin Land Co.
the necessary permits. Public opposition is always a powerful tool. Keep on supporting Basinkeeper. It’s our only hope to prevent the second clearcutting of the Atchafalaya Basin, the first having ended in the late 1920s, when the last marketable tree had been cut and sawed into lumber. We need to stop it before that happens again. Thank you for your interest and concern.
