Atchafalaya Autumn is a very personal account of four years of the author's observations and photographs from living in the Atchafalaya Basin in camps and houseboats. There are sunrises and sunsets, foggy mornings, swamp dwellers and wildlife. It contains 87 full color photographs.

It was called "stunning . . . exceptional" by the Lafayette Daily Advertiser; "a verbal and photographic record of Guirard's Thoreau-like attempt to leave civilization and live in the wild" by the Times of Acadiana. (hardbound; 104 pages.)
