Greg Guirard was born in St. Martinville, LA, and moved to the western edge of the Atchafalaya Basin at age two. He has spent most of his life looking for his proper direction, having worked as a school teacher, actor, writer, publisher, photographer, sawmill worker, crewboat driver, crawfisherman, lecturer, farmer, cattleman, Cajun dialog coach, guide and adviser to film crews, and furniture maker.


The environment of the Atchafalaya Basin is at the center of almost everything he does. He has recently published a non-fiction book with 103 bw photographs
--PsychoTherapy for Cajuns. His most recent work,Inherit the Atchafalaya, will be available from Greg in early December 2007.
